Join Art & Connection founder, Sheri Reid Grant, in one of our most popular classes and create a one-of-a-kind glass mosaic on a salvaged window. In this class you will learn how to cut and nip glass, create an interesting composition and understand how scale, dimension, and color scheme affect your layout. In this two-day workshop, you will have the opportunity to experience creativity without limits - using materials and glass to create a stunning work of art. Enjoy getting to know your classmates in a safe and supportive environment, where you will be encouraged to share with the group the meaning behind your subject matter and your experience with this new medium. Once your glass is in place, you will apply resin to seal your creation in place. Leave with a piece of art that is as unique and beautiful as you are! Once you have received confirmation of your registration, you will receive an email with instructions on when to come in to Art & Connection to pick out the window that will be used during the class. Picking out your window prior to the class will help in researching design preferences and ideas. All class participants should come to class with a design or image for reference. All finished windows will be available for pickup 72 hours after the class has ended, in order to allow time for the resin to cure fully. Ages 16+ All materials provided. Students may bring snacks or a simple lunch with them to class. Class participants must be able to attend both sessions of the class. Please note, if you have already taken a Glass Mosaic Window class with Sheri, you are not eligible to sign up for another class. Spaces will be reserved for individuals who have not yet been able to attend this class.
