Join us at Art & Connection for our Fairy Garden Hobbit Hole workshop, led by instructor Eva Crawford. Get excited about Summer by creating a fairy garden hobbit hole - a fun miniature piece of art that is sure to light up your garden for years to come. Using hot glue guns, Eva will teach you the delicate art of miniature assembly, including how to make a birch fairy door and arrange elements such as a door, window, and stones in a half circle (stepping) stone grout. While drying, class participants will decorate their hobbit hole with greenery, vines, leaves, and an acorn lantern. Gardening connects us with nature's rhythms and fills our lives with beauty, and the whimsical addition of fairies and gnomes to your garden is a way to be creative in a playful and meaningful way. Class participants will be encouraged to share how their connection to gardening, being outdoors, or interaction with nature impacts their life, and quotes serving as reminders of our personal connection to the earth will be provided by Eva to put inside your hobbit hole as a special reminder of this connection. At the end of the workshop, you will have the opportunity to present and share your finished miniature masterpiece as a way to foster the connection between you and your fellow classmates. Leave with a unique and beautiful piece of art that you will be sure to enjoy all summer long! Ages 16+ A wide variety of embellishments for your hobbit hole will be provided by Art & Connection. Class participants may bring with them additional miniature embellishments to adorn their hobbit hole with, such as their favorite rocks or stones (varying in size from 0.5"-1.5" in diameter and can be both flat and round).

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: You may cancel your registration for a class up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the class. No-shows, who haven’t notified us, lose the right to register for another event for 60 days (except for extenuating circumstances). Please be mindful that most of our classes have a waitlist. No-shows prevent others from having the opportunity to attend these classes. To cancel, please call us at (231)498-2522. Class Cancellations: Art and Connection reserves the right to cancel any class when there is insufficient enrollment (minimum of five (5) students per class). Registrants will be notified. We will make every effort to reschedule a class when an instructor cancels but due to space and other classes we may be unable to re-schedule.
