We are excited to announce our newest community group to Art & Connection: A Creative Journaling Group! Led by instructor Michele Scott, this new community group will offer the opportunity to create a visual diary where you practice making art and visually expressing yourself in a creative way. There are "no rules" to creative journaling - choose to create and connect with your fellow group members, or create for your eyes only. The possibilities are endless! By using household materials and various art supplies, you can practice creative journaling and find inspiration in different mediums. Instructor Michele Scott will encourage healthy dialogue and give each participant a time to share and talk about what they created, their process for inspirations, and any experiences or struggles learned throughout the process. This group will meet bi-weekly (beginning May 12) on Tuesday's from 4-6 pm. The first session of this class, hosted on May 12, will require a registration. This will help to gauge interest in this medium and determine the need within the community. Ages 16+ During the first session, class participants will receive a free journal and starter supplies. We respectfully ask that if you register for this class, you are making a commitment to attend as many of the bi-weekly meetings as possible from now until the end of the year. Attendance encourages our goal to make this therapeutic art form accessible to those who otherwise would not have the opportunity, as well as form a new bi-weekly community group that offers creativity and connection.
