Service Description
Join us at Art & Connection for our Cookie Decorating: Independence Day workshop, where you will learn how to make beautiful and delicious sugar cookie decorations using Royal Icing. In this workshop, local baker and owner of Sugar Sweet Snaps, Jen DeZeeuw, will teach you how to produce the perfect texture for outlining and flooding, as well as how to color icing and use the appropriate tools to achieve perfectly iced cookies. Throughout the workshop, class participants will have the opportunity to share memories of baking and decorating cookies with friends and family, as well as celebrate and discuss how patriotic traditions play a role in your life. Additionally, the class will discuss the challenges or what surprised them about using royal icing to decorate cookies, and have the opportunity to connect on not only a creative level, but also a personal one. Leave with half a dozen tasty cookies to share with your family and friends! Ages 16+ If you have previously taken one of Jen’s cookie decorating classes, please call to have your name added to the waitlist so that others may have the opportunity to learn this medium.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: You may cancel your registration for a class up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the class. No-shows, who haven’t notified us, lose the right to register for another event for 60 days (except for extenuating circumstances). Please be mindful that most of our classes have a waitlist. No-shows prevent others from having the opportunity to attend these classes. To cancel, please call us at (231)498-2522. Class Cancellations: Art and Connection reserves the right to cancel any class when there is insufficient enrollment (minimum of five (5) students per class). Registrants will be notified. We will make every effort to reschedule a class when an instructor cancels but due to space and other classes we may be unable to re-schedule.
