Service Description
We invite those who have never taken a class at Art & Connection to join us for our Glass & Resin Sunflower workshop. Resin art has become incredibly popular in the art and crafting world in recent years - as a newcomer to this medium, you will have the opportunity to experience this unique and versatile art form, all under the expert guidance of instructor Tena Evans. As you create and connect with your fellow class participants, you will learn all about composition and layering. These fundamental techniques will help you to a create rich, complex, and visually appealing piece of art! Tena will teach you how to prep your wood surface for painting, and choose paint and glass colors that are as unique as you are. By building up multiple layers of glass, as well as learning glass cutting techniques, you will achieve a depth and dimension to your piece that will make your sunflower jump right off your surface. Lastly, learn how to mix and pour epoxy resin, to finish off your piece with a vibrant, shiny finish. Leave with a beautiful piece of art that you will be proud to display in your home all year long! Ages 16+ Class participants can choose to bring a different floral pattern as inspiration, should you choose not to create a sunflower. Please note: This class is for first time students to Art & Connection only. In response to the many inquires we have received about how people are unable to register for a class because they fill so quickly, we have determined that we will offer one class a month for new individuals to come and participate in. No exceptions to this rule, please.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: You may cancel your registration for a class up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the class. No-shows, who haven’t notified us, lose the right to register for another event for 60 days (except for extenuating circumstances). Please be mindful that most of our classes have a waitlist. No-shows prevent others from having the opportunity to attend these classes. To cancel, please call us at (231)498-2522. Class Cancellations: Art and Connection reserves the right to cancel any class when there is insufficient enrollment (minimum of five (5) students per class). Registrants will be notified. We will make every effort to reschedule a class when an instructor cancels but due to space and other classes we may be unable to re-schedule.
