Service Description
Join us at Art & Connection for our Color Deep Dive workshop, where you will explore the playful and technical side of color as you learn to understand and utilize color. In this class you will explore a variety of color mixing techniques, master the art of mixing your own neutral colors, and learn tips for avoiding muddy colors. As a collective, you will have the opportunity to evaluate the color choices of master artists and reflecting on how they use color to create mood and evoke emotion in their works. In this class, local artist and instructor Elizabeth Manning will teach you multiple approaches to color mixing, intermediate-advanced understanding of the color wheel, and how to use our observations of the world and choices made by master artists to enhance our use of color in personal practice. As a class you will explore connections to others by sharing what new skills or discoveries you noticed. You will also have the opportunity to discuss what was challenging or unexpected in your color deep dive, as well as explore the emotions that can be created through the use of color, all in a safe and encouraging environment! Ages 16+ This is an introductory workshop, focused on the study and exploration of color. No previous watercolor or color theory experience is required.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: You may cancel your registration for a class up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the class. No-shows, who haven’t notified us, lose the right to register for another event for 60 days (except for extenuating circumstances). Please be mindful that most of our classes have a waitlist. No-shows prevent others from having the opportunity to attend these classes. To cancel, please call us at (231)498-2522. Class Cancellations: Art and Connection reserves the right to cancel any class when there is insufficient enrollment (minimum of five (5) students per class). Registrants will be notified. We will make every effort to reschedule a class when an instructor cancels but due to space and other classes we may be unable to re-schedule.
