Cookie Decorating: Spread Love
[SATURDAY CLASS] Learn how to decorate sugar cookies with royal icing, led by instructor Jen DeZeeuw
Service Description
Join us at Art & Connection for our Cookie Decorating: Spread Love workshop, where you will learn how to make beautiful and delicious sugar cookie decorations using Royal Icing. In this workshop, local baker and owner of Sugar Sweet Snaps, Jen DeZeeuw, will teach you how to produce the perfect texture for outlining and flooding, as well as how to color icing and use the appropriate tools to achieve perfectly iced cookies. Throughout the workshop, class participants will have the opportunity to share memories of baking and decorating cookies with friends and family. Additionally, the class will discuss the challenges or what surprised them about using royal icing to decorate cookies, and have the opportunity to connect on not only a creative level, but also a personal one. After you are finished, you will have the fun opportunity to spread love in our community by giving away some of your beautifully decorated cookies in random acts of kindness! Ages 16+ Class participants will decorate a total of 8 cookies (4 cookies to give away in the community and 4 cookies to take home).

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation policy: You may cancel your registration for a class up to seven (7) days prior to the scheduled date of the class. No-shows, who haven’t notified us, lose the right to register for another event for 60 days (except for extenuating circumstances). Please be mindful that most of our classes have a waitlist. No-shows prevent others from having the opportunity to attend these classes. To cancel, please call us at (231)498-2522. Class Cancellations: Art and Connection reserves the right to cancel any class when there is insufficient enrollment (minimum of five (5) students per class). Registrants will be notified. We will make every effort to reschedule a class when an instructor cancels but due to space and other classes we may be unable to re-schedule.
